Psychology of Change

Psychology of Change training

Build the psychological safety and capacity people need to engage, and the practical capability to act differently under pressure.

You may be seeing

  • People know what good looks like and do the opposite
  • Resistance to anything new, whatever the merits
  • Initiatives that stall at the same point every time
  • Agreement in the room, no change afterwards

What happens

In the room

Practised, embodied experience so the new behaviour exists in the body, not on a slide.

  • SURE model workshops
  • Signal and noise literacy exercises
  • Actual versus perceived barrier mapping
  • Nervous system regulation practice
  • Experiential sessions using art, sound and movement

What people will be able to do

Afterwards, people can:

  • Calm down quickly when things get tense
  • Spot what is really stopping them from acting
  • Tell a real obstacle apart from a fear
  • Take the first step on something they have put off

Outcomes

What it adds up to

  • Better wellbeing

Measured improvement in psychological safety and emotional resilience.

  • Better digital adoption

Tools, policies and ways of working that people actually take up and keep using.

  • Less conflict and absenteeism

Fewer grievances, less presenteeism, and fewer sudden absences.

This is also a component of ‘MindHug One’, 40 hours of training grounded in behavioural science, across wellbeing, AI and cybersecurity, and entrepreneurship.

A few lines is enough.

Why it works: what is underneath the behaviour

Underneath the behaviour

  • The mind fills gaps in information with expectations built from previous experience
  • Perceived capability governs whether someone attempts anything at all
  • Uncertainty is processed as risk, and risk favours doing nothing
  • Under threat, attention narrows, and advice cannot land on a narrowed field

How this programme is built, step by step

  1. Safety

Regulation before content. A narrowed nervous system cannot take on anything new.

    01
  2. Understanding

How the mind processes information, and why shortcuts that used to work now get in the way.

    02
  3. Reframing

Naming the expectation that is running, and testing it against what is actually true now.

    03
  4. Experience

Practised, embodied experience so the new behaviour exists in the body, not on a slide.

    04

Safety opens exploration. Exploration creates experience. Experience updates what people expect. Updated expectations change behaviour, and feed back into safety.
